What is SimaPro Flow, Explore Share & Collect?
SimaPro Flow, Explore, Share & Collect are interactive online tools. They enable efficient collaboration with different interest groups, such as employees, customers and suppliers, even if they do not have a SimaPro desktop license.
A basic version of Flow, Explore, Share & Collect (one licence for one business user) is included in the SimaPro software packages. If more customers or suppliers are to be addressed at the same time, additional business user licences can be purchased (see price list below).
How do SimaPro Flow, Explore, Share & Collect work?
An in-house specialist or an external service provider (e.g. ESU-services) creates an LCA model. The process to be examined in more detail is modelled either directly online in SimaPro "Flow" (visual or tabular modelling) or in the desktop licence (tabular modelling) based on existing databases. All parameters that are to be changeable are provided with parameters. To query such parameters from suppliers, a questionnaire can be created in SimaPro "Collect" and linked directly to these parameters. The questionnaire can be sent to up to 30 suppliers simultaneously per "Collect" business user.
Customers can access the parameterised model via SimaPro "Share" and evaluate various scenarios to improve hotspots in the product life cycle, e.g. by:
- Substituting materials (e.g. glass instead of tinplate)
- Adjusting the quantities (e.g. recycled content)
- Selecting impact categories (e.g. climate change potential, water footprint)
The results are calculated and displayed directly as a graph. All entries and results can be exported to Excel.
With SimaPro "Explore", customers can compare different product design alternatives in much greater detail using contribution analyses and analysis groups. The results can be displayed as a table or graph and also exported to Excel.
For each "business user" SimaPro Explore or SimaPro Share, one customer can have access to the online application.
In each case, the specialist (with SimaPro Expert or SimaPro Power) decides which options and which information is available to the interest groups.
