Changes to data libraries

Changes to impact assessment methods

• A number of methods have been updated:
  • Characterization factors have been added for new geographies for some water related substances in all (applicable) methods
  • characterization factors of specified subcompartments that match the characterization factor of the unspecified subcompartment have been removed from all applicable methods since these will automatically be characterized with the same characterization factor as the unspecified subcompartment.

Changes to software

• Further speed optimization especially when opening databases, projects, loading methods, and comparing multiple processes
• Handy new feature where you can now select a default method straight from the calculation setup without having to go back to the Methods section in the LCA Explorer screen.
• Improvements in keyboard navigation
• Refined default import settings for CSV imports
• Improved chart layout

In addition, this release includes the following bug fixes that were present in some versions of SimaPro Craft 10.1:

• Fixed internal error that appears when analyzing, comparing using SimaPro Faculty, Classroom (was only present in 10.1.0.2)
• Fixed registration issues when installing SimaPro 10.1.0.2 or SimaPro 10.1.0.3 on Asian machines (specifically for China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea)
• Resolved “Scan Tree” issue in the Analysis Groups that used to trigger an error
• Bug fix after converting to constants
• Fixed disappeared entries in disposal scenarios after saving
• Fixed issue where parameter sets values in the calculation setup can change upon sorting and once changes are saved
• Defined pi (π) as a fixed parameter in SimaPro hence SimaPro will automatically recognize it without requiring manual definition. As such, when you open the database first time in SimaPro, SimaPro will detect this and automatically remove these constant parameters to avoid confusion. Your expressions and calculations will remain correct.
• Bug fix in showing input and output flows in Network and Tree as percentage
• Bug fix in deleting multi-output process including text correction when allocation exceeded 100%
• Resolved drag and drop issue in methods and product stages
