The SimaPro Expert license provides all necessary features for professional use and in depth life cycle assessments of specific products, services or organizations. The multi-users versions allows collaborations within one company on large LCA projects in a join database.
An upgrade to the SimaPro Power license is needed to automatize the life cycle inventory modelling and the impact assessment for a large amount of products based on bill of materials provided in Excel or other database formats.
SimaPro features
The following table shows the most relevant features of SimaPro Expert (formerly known as "SimaPro Analyst") and SimaPro Power license (formerly known as "SimaPro Developer"). Both license types might be used as single- or multi-user installations where the included databases/libraries, methods and projects may be shared and used collaboratively.

Pricing
SimaPro can be purchased as yearly subscription or as a perpetual/indefinite license.
If you plan to use SimaPro Power for more than 3 or SimaPro Expert for more than 4 years, we recommend SimaPro perpetual licenses together with a continuously prolonged service contract (see explanation further below).

Service Contract for SimaPro perpetual
For perpetual SimaPro Expert or Power licenses, we offer a service contract.
With an active service contract, you have access to...
- the latest software version of SimaPro
- the latest database and method versions (e.g. current ecoinvent version 3.X and environmental footprint method EF 3.X).
- the SimaPro helpdesk for technical issues (phone or email).
When you buy a new SimaPro license, the first year of service contract is always included in the license price. You will be asked ~two months before the end of your service contract if you want to renew it.
It is not possible to discontinue the service contract for a certain time. Either the contract is renewed seamlessly after the previous contract ends or you cancel the contract.
You get a discount of 5% to 10% on the service contract, if you directly order or renew it for two or three years instead of one.
