Analyse social hotspots in a life cycle perspective with the Social Hotspots Database

You want to assess the social risks over the life cycle? The Social Hotspots Database in SimaPro provides the regionalized data for such an analysis!
We are excited to inform you about the launch of an updated and expanded version of the Social Hotspots Database – SHDB. The SHDB allows modelling of social impacts and risks. It can be easily used as a stand-alone database in SimaPro. A prime resource for Social Life Cycle Assessment, the SHDB licences provide access to social risk data covering 140 countries and regions and 65 economic sectors with 6 impact categories, 26 impact subcategories and 157 social indicators. The risk data used in combination with the world’s leading Global Multi-Regional Input Output (MRIO) model enables users to calculate product and company social footprints and to identify social hotspots.
The Social Hotspots Database provides solutions for improvements to forward-thinking companies who aim at having a socially responsible supply chain. It empowers buyers and suppliers by giving them the tools to assess sector-specific risks and opportunities.
