ecoinvent allocation, cut-off EN15804

We are very happy to let you know that the ecoinvent allocation, cut-off EN15804 (version 3.10) is now available for SimaPro users.

The ecoinvent EN15804 system model is fully compliant with ISO 14025, ISO 21930 and EN15804+A2:2019. It provides all Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) indicators required by the aforementioned standards and adheres to the end-of-waste criteria set by the European Commission.

What's included

In our implementation for SimaPro users, we provide the following:
1. ecoinvent, cut-off, EN15804 system model datasets, as library projects (both unit and system)
2. EN15804+A2 LCIA impact assessment & LCI indicators method, as one method that facilitates calculating the Environmental Footprint (EF)-based impact assessment and additional indicators in one go.
3. an extensive user manual regarding installation and use

The database can be used independently (i.e, as a standalone database), or you can import it to your current SimaPro Professional database, alongside other ecoinvent system models. For the latter case, we also provide a replacement file to help you update your projects from the allocation, cut-off by classification system model (version 3.10) to allocation, cut-off, EN15804 system model.

September 4th | webinar with ecoinvent

We are teaming up with ecoinvent again to provide an overview of this new data, and how it has been implemented in SimaPro. We will also show you how you can update your projects using the replacement file. The webinar will take place on September 4th from 15.00 -16.00 CEST. It is a free event, but registration is required.

How to acquire the data

To access this data, an add-on ecoinvent license is required, which you can purchase via ESU-services. This add-on license starts at 600 EUR per user per year, given that you already have a valid SimaPro subscription/service contract that includes an ecoinvent license.
